Light Running Endurance Fuel: Cinnamon Raisin Granola (Low Fat High Carb)
A lighter version of granola designed for runners who need high carbs with lower fat content. Perfect for sustained energy during long training runs.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup raw honey
- 3 TBSP melted grass fed butter
- 1.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1.5 TBSP ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- ½ cup raisins plus any extra desired
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Over very low heat, blend butter, honey, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt until the mixture is smooth.
- In a large bowl, thoroughly coat the dry oats with the blended mixture.
- Flatten the mixture onto a cookie sheet and drizzle a bit of honey over the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Mix on the cookie sheet, stirring in raisins, and flatten into a thin layer.
- Bake an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let fully cool.
- Break apart and enjoy.
