2027 NYC Half: Guaranteed Entry, Earned by 33 Seconds

I'm running the 2027 NYC Half on March 21 via guaranteed entry. A 1:31:27 finish earned my spot by just 33 seconds, and that same time qualified me for the 2027 NYC Marathon.
I’m running the 2027 NYC Half on March 21 via guaranteed entry!I time-qualified for my age group when I ran 13.1 miles in 1:31:27, averaging 6:59 per mile at this race. For ages 50–54, the cutoff is 1:32:00. I made it by just 33 seconds! One walk break and I would have missed it.That same qualifying time also earned me guaranteed entry into the big one, the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon next November.I went an insane route to accomplish this, but man, does it feel good.
