Equipmentless Leg Day: 10 Reasons to Do Air Squats
Today, I blew past my personal air squat record, doing 1150 air squats on a 5-mile hike with about 20 hill sprints. I love to lift weights inside, but after all the rain lately, I needed to get out. I bet $100 that I’ll sleep like a baby tonight. This workout wrecked my leg muscles, and I didn’t need any equipment.
I was at it for about two hours. (eesh)
– 10 sets of 100 air squats (totaling 1000 reps, each set takes about 2.5 min)
– 3 sets of 50 air squats, Set 1 being a warm-up and the final two sets when feeling exhausted
– Hiked 5 miles at a fast pace
– Sprinted intermittently up every hill on the hike
