Marathon Coaching for Adults 40+

1-on-1 marathon coaching for adults 40+ chasing their first half, first full, or a time goal. Built on integrated strength, running, and nutrition, and coached by someone actively racing at 51.

Who This Is For

This coaching is built for runners training for a first half or full and wanting to do it right the first time, runners who want a simple plan that fits around work, family, and real life, runners who want to cross the finish line feeling strong rather than just survive the experience, runners who keep getting injured and want strength training and recovery to be part of the plan rather than an afterthought, adults 40+ who want a coach who actually understands what that means, and runners who want accountability, guidance, and support from someone who has been there.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never run a marathon. Is this too advanced for me?

No. Many clients are working toward their first half or full. We start exactly where you are, build the base properly, and get you to the start line ready to race, not just survive.

Do I need to be local to work with you?

All coaching is fully virtual. You run wherever you are and we connect on video. Michael works with athletes across the country.

What if I get injured during training?

Injury prevention is built into the program. We do not train through warning signs, we address them. If something comes up, we adjust the plan so you do not lose momentum.

How is this different from a training app or a generic plan?

A plan does not know you had a brutal work week, that your hip has been tight for three weeks, or that your goal race is 11 weeks away instead of 16. A coach does. That is the difference.

Do you use AI in your coaching?

Yes. AI tools help build and refine training plans, analyze patterns, and stay current on endurance research. The coaching relationship, the judgment calls, and the accountability are human.

What's the commitment?

Month-to-month. No long contracts. If it is working you will want to stay, and if your goals change we figure it out.
