This video is for anyone who ran the NYC Marathon and wants to relive the unique sounds and energy of each phase—or for those curious about what this iconic race feels like from a runner’s perspective. Join me for an 8-minute recap of my first marathon on November 3, 2024, just three weeks before my 50th birthday and on my wife’s birthday. From the Staten Island Ferry to the Verrazano Bridge, through all five boroughs, and finally crossing the finish line in Central Park, it was an unforgettable journey marked by grit, determination, and transformation.

Completing the NYC Marathon was transformative, reshaping my perspective on endurance, resilience, and positive vibes—from the runners and spectators alike. It was a celebration on a scale I’ve never seen in my life. The energy of this experience is now part of everything I do, and if you ever get the chance to run this marathon—take it!

“I dare you to train for a marathon, and not have it change your life.” – Susan Sidoriak
