Hello, I'm Michael Baker. I am a 48-year-old work from home digital professional, certified Health Coach, E-RYT200 Yoga teacher, former Yoga studio owner, and dedicated health & wellness practitioner with over 30 years of experience.
I'm not a doctor or a scientist, but they're the ones I'm always listening to, the ones I'm reading and learning from. I've poured thousands of hours into understanding nutrition, strength building, longevity, and yoga, all through the teachings of doctors, scientists, and gurus. Let's just call them the "experts".
Guess what? Every expert does things their way and every expert conflicts with another expert.
Over the years I took bits and pieces from dozens of the brightest experts and molded that into my "way". It's what I want for everyone. To be able to learn and implement lifelong changes based on sound information, so you can find your way. The more exposure you have to different perspectives and narratives the more you realize that no one actually has all of the answers.
I believe there are just a few foundational truths you have to face similar to "smoking cigarettes is bad for your health". But when this type of language is used to describe exercise, food or alcohol, people freak the fuck out.
I have formed my own systems, my way, but my way isn't the way for everyone; I can use my lifelong experience to guide you in finding your own way.

I am not here to preach the importance of strength, mobility, flexibility, or the necessity of a well-balanced diet – you already know all that. I also don't believe in any specific rigid diet or exercise routine. I believe that everyone has unique needs, and understanding them is key to achieving individual health and well-being.
My approach is intuitive & holistic, integrating both dietary and lifestyle changes to improve your overall quality of life, tailored to your individual needs. Together, we will assess your current nutrition intake, physical activity levels, time management strategies, and habits.
With this information, my goal is to help you improve your health. We'll take what you already know and turn it into real-life changes. After all, it's one thing to understand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, and another to put it into action. That's exactly where I step in.

Nutrition Coaching
When we start the journey together the absolute first step is assessing your consumption of food and drink. I will say it 100x that you will never lose weight if your diet is unchecked. You will never sustain weight loss or a healthy lifestyle if you don't educate yourself and implement change.
It's why programs like "Weight Watchers" are garbage. They don't educate you, they give you pre-made space food and limit calories. The second you are left to fend for yourself you are helpless.
The most important thing you can do for yourself is to never need a coach or a program to know what to consume and what not to consume and why.
Let's move to step 1 and 2 of my process:
- Discovery - With total honesty, assess your habits, lifestyle, caloric intake & objectives.
- Clean House - Begin to replace all conventional food with real whole food.
Mobility & Strength
As a parent reaching his 50s, my health has become a top priority in my life. Maybe it’s my version of a mid-life crisis. I don't want a red Porsche. I want to retain full mobility, maintain muscle mass, lose fat, gain endurance, avoid chronic disease, and - most importantly - remain present, vibrant, and active.
I'm looking to inspire and educate people over the age of 40 who know that they can feel better but might not know how to get there. It took me 30 years to really learn and understand nutrition, my body, and what I need as an individual to feel and look my best, forever. I hope I can help you get there too!


Work From Home Digital Professional
As someone who has worked from home for over 25 years, and a father of two children, I understand what it’s like to struggle to balance a healthy life with professional and familial responsibilities. Over time, I’ve devised highly effective tactics that make it easier to maximize various elements of my daily life to keep everything in balance.
As a digital professional, I am always learning and evolving at warp speed (or I'll become obsolete lol). I spend a lot of time on the computer, fully connected to devices, immersed in creative software, inside blocks of code, troubleshooting. The stress of this type of work can be overwhelming. But I love it! How is that possible? Well, I have developed healthy systems to detach digitally and re-claim the time stolen from commuting, digital frustrations, useless notifications, instant availability, and stressful online engagement.
Detach From Digital - "Digital Detox"
With the advent of AI, web3, VR, the Metaverse, and other more invasive forms of technology, it’s becoming more and more essential for people to have a reliable and effective method for disconnecting digitally.
Digital frustration is everywhere, it's almost imprisoning at this point. This is something that I believe needs to be acknowledged. We're never going to disconnect our lives fully but we need a break!
Nature, family, exercise, yoga, running, working on your home, walking outside, running errands, playing with your kid. What ever it is, learn to do it without digital distractions.
I'd love to be your tour guide for the process of shutting down for 15 minutes, 45 minutes, an entire day... liberating your brain and time.

I can help you set realistic goals, develop an action plan, and hold you accountable for following through on your commitments. I can also provide you with information and resources to help you make healthy choices.
Health coaches can also help you navigate the often-confusing world of health and wellness information, sorting through the latest trends and fads to find what truly works for you. I can help you identify and overcome any obstacles that are preventing you from reaching your goals, whether it's lack of motivation, stress, or poor time management.
In addition, health coaches can help you develop healthy habits that are sustainable in the long-term. I can teach you how to listen to your body, understand your triggers and motivations, and develop a healthy relationship with food and exercise.
Overall, a health coach can provide the support and guidance you need to achieve your health and wellness goals, and help you create a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable in the long-term.

- 4.Explain the health benefits of including healthy fats into a healthy diet.
- 5.Coach my clients on the macronutrient composition of foods. (protein, fat, carbohydrates)
- 6.Share recipes and meal ideas that can be incorporated into a healthy lifestyle.
