I have a shake made from this almost every "night". I eat dinner at 4 lol not sure of that qualifies as night to most
This is my preferred Whey: https://amzn.to/3NsKwDDYes, it's expensive but if you bought 5lbs of this at Whole Foods it would be 3x this! They charge $50 for 1lb!
My shake has around 25-50 grams of protein, 20-40 grams of quality carbs, and approximately 225-300 calories but feels like 600! It should leave you feeling satiated, despite the lower calorie count. Enjoy!
Here's my personal recipe:
Ingredients:
1-2 ripe bananas, frozen flat
5-8 tablespoons of raw grass-fed whey protein
Ice cubes (a small amount)
Optional: Touch of Organic Vanilla Extract
Optional: Organic raw honey (maximum 1 tablespoon)
Instructions:
Start by freezing ripe bananas. Peel them FIRST, break them in half, and lay them flat in a freezer-safe container. I do 1 gallon Ziplocs. Allow them to freeze until solid.
Tip: I buy 3-5 bundles from Costco at once and let them all ripen, this way I can freeze a ton and not worry about it.
In a blender, add a small amount of ice cubes along with 1 or 2 halves of the frozen banana.
Measure out 5-8 tablespoons of raw grass-fed whey protein (approximately 1/4 to 1/3 cup). You can use a pre-measured scoop for convenience, such as a 1/4 cup scoop (4 tablespoons).
Blend the mixture on a low setting to minimize excessive frothing.
Maybe add a couple of small 1/4 banana chunks to the shake after you pour it. This can be eaten with a spoon for added ice-cream like texture.
Optional: Drizzle a 1 tablespoon of organic raw honey on top for added sweetness and candy like consistency.
Raw grass-fed whey protein offers a high-quality source of bio-available protein and essential amino acids. It can support muscle recovery, muscle growth, and weight management efforts.
Get at it!
